Batlow Bees n Berries is a small family run business in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains.

 

It all started when we planted some raspberries.  Batlow is perfect for berries; there used to be lots.  To make sure we had great pollination we bought a beehive, or ten... 

Of course there's lots of extra berries so we make delicious jam....small batch home-made jam, just fruit and sugar the old fashioned way.

 

While we are not organic we use minimal chemicals, in fact once the new canes poke through the soil in spring we don't spray with anything for the whole season. We don't want to eat chemicals, and we're sure you don't want to either..
